Pied Bull Thursdays: following the hill sessions at Covington Way, from about 8.15pm the group adjourns to the nearby Pied Bull, the club's first ever cross country headquarters, for drinks, sometimes food and occasionally a game of darts.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PUB-CRAWL - 22 DECEMBER

Another year, another cracking turnout! Rumour has it the official itinerary was extended on the spur of the moment as the Christmas spirit(s) really kicked in. A selection of photos appear in the Photo Gallery. Well done to all who attended and ensured strong HHH representation at this annual feast.

CHRISTMAS SOCIAL - 29 NOVEMBER

After the minor matter of the day's cross country race had concluded, the club's all-singing, all-cross country running contingent decamped to Thornton Heath for Saturday night festivities at the first of the club's Christmas functions. Tantalising Saturday evening viewing the X-Factor may be, but here though was a Tooting Tuesday equivalent - the HHH-Factor! Yes, clearly not having burst their lungs sufficiently in the mud of Brockwell Park and buoyed by a Club President who had clearly practised the art before, numerous members sang like never before in the karoke entertainment which followed the Chinese buffet.

So much of a hit were the mikes (for which various handling techniques were offered) that increasingly merried men and women would clasp whatever they could, lager bottles being a particular favourite, to join in mob renditions of karaoke classics, determined to savour a piece of the night, unrestrained by a panel of judges and unperturbed by a prospect of telephone voting. If this is anything to go by, it's going to be quite a December..

Special thanks to Sarah Allen for organising the function which was undoubtedly extremely well received.

WANDSWORTH PUB CRAWL - 13 SEPTEMBER

A large number of club members made the annual pilgrimage to Wandsworth to close a very good day for the club following the men's team winning bronze medals at the Surrey Road Relays and the promotion of the women's track & field team to the UK Women's League. Well done to all who turned out.

Rob and Monica Karn married at the end of May. Congratulations from all members of the club!

CHRISTMAS PUB CRAWL - 2007

The annual Christmas pub crawl took place on Monday 17 December 2007 and witnessed one of the strongest Herne Hill Harriers turnouts for many a year at this important and prestigious end of year function, aided by the fact that the route took in 5 splendid watering holes in the City of London. HHH WEDDING CAKE!

Congratulations to Ben and Colleen Paviour who married on Saturday 4 November 2007 in Richmond. A number of men’s team attended (depleting the squad for the Reigate Relays!) but an excellent time was had by all. A key member of the men’s track and field and cross country teams over the last few seasons, one of the cakes was even fashioned in HHH club colours – see below!
