Herne Hill Harriers have a number of specialist coaches who are based at Tooting Bec track. Click here to view a list of them.
Tuesday and Thursday Evenings
A variety of groups train from 6.45pm to 8.30pm at Tooting Bec track.
Young Athletes should ask for Steve Bosley. Middle-distance/distance runners should ask for Stan Allen. The middle-distance and distance sessions start at 7.15pm.
Our members don't just train at Tooting - some of our members of the men's and women's squads are part of a training group which trains at Battersea Park at 7.00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays while others train at the Ladywell Arena near Catford and Kingsmeadow.
A group of distance runners also meets at the top of Covington Way, near Streatham Common, on Thursdays at 7.30pm for hill reps under the watchful eye of Stan. These sessions help to build strength and stamina and are great preparation for the cross-country season. Click here for a map (hyperlink to www.streetmap.co.uk.)

Sundays
If no fixture is on the calendar, groups meet at Tooting Bec track for sessions from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Young athletes should ask for Steve Bosley. Distance runners normally leave the track at approximately 10.30am for a long, slow training run to various destinations in South London for about an hour and a half before returning for Sunday brunch in the cafe. These Sunday runs serve as an excellent introduction to the club and there will nearly always be somebody who is able to run at the same pace as you within the group.
For further informarion about training, contact Steve Bosley or Stan Allen.
